This exceptional Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is matured and mellowed in American oak casks for 21 years to reach a rich smoothness. It is then finished in hand selected Caribbean rum casks for a further four months maturation, infusing it with indulgent notes of toffee, fig and vanilla sweetness. These complex flavours are enhanced by a spicy warmth, oak and the merest hint of smoke on the palate whilst exquisite and rich aromas of fudge and hints of ripe banana intermingle luxuriously on the nose. By completing our 21 Year Old in Caribbean rum barrels it stirs the fluid, energizing it with additional intriguing notes of ginger, fig, lime and banana and a dynamic hot toffee warmth, raising it from something awesome to something uncommon.
