Happy Basket - Margaret and Clifford Kent received a wedding present of 50 chickens from Margaret’s family. So they rented a farm in Cornwall, England to raise hens and sell eggs. In just 10 years, their flock increased from 50 to 2,000 birds. Naturally, their son Michael grew up picking eggs, working on the farm over holidays and weekends, and helping to make feed for the hens. While 60Perc of eggs sold in the UK were free-range, only 6Perc of eggs sold in the U.S. were at this point. We decided to change that. So we embraced the American spirit and created our own independent U.S. company, fully focused on Kenya consumers.
