These include, the United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Bahrain, Egypt, Georgia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Uganda. Majid Al Futtaim is the full owner of its grocery retailing business and it’s not part of the Carrefour Group of entities.

We are fully committed to serving the local communities in which we operate. We are proud to source over 80% of our products from local and regional suppliers and producers.

3. Are the royalty fees paid to Carrefour France being used to support Israel?
We have been assured by Carrefour Group that they have not made any donations or extended any support related to the conflict. Any activity, decisions or actions carried out by franchisees outside Majid Al Futtaim's operations are in no way associated with or representative of Majid Al Futtaim or its brands across the region. As an Emirati business with firm roots in the Arab world and a responsibility to the communities in which it operates, our profits are reinvested back into our communities, supporting local initiatives, job creation, and overall community development.

As an Emirati business with firm roots in the Arab world and a responsibility to the communities in which it operates, our profits are reinvested back into our communities, supporting local initiatives, job creation, and overall community development. We take immense pride in developing robust local and regional supply chains and fostering collaboration with regional suppliers, producers, farmers, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This collaboration enables our grocery retailing business to offer high quality products at affordable prices to its customers, sourcing 80% of our products from local suppliers and producers. We aim to make a meaningful and lasting impact, aligning our success with the prosperity and sustainable growth of the markets we serve.

6. What are you doing to support the people of Gaza?
We donated over US$ 2 million to support Gaza aid relief efforts and will continue to work with local charitable organisations to ensure colleagues and customers have every opportunity to take positive action to support aid efforts in Gaza. We remain dedicated to our communities and stand in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
